About Us

StackHyre helps you pick the right proxy provider or scraping tool, pay a fair price for it, and use it the right way.

Hi, I’m Daniel Brooks

I write and edit everything on StackHyre. Daniel Brooks is a pen name. I use it so the focus stays on the work, not on me. My work is proxies, web scraping and data collection. That’s the only thing this site is about.

I won’t list job titles or client names here, and I won’t claim lab results I don’t have. What I can promise is how I work. I read the pricing pages, the docs and the fine print. I compare providers side by side. I check what independent reviewers have found. Then I tell you plainly which option I’d pick for your job, and which ones I’d skip.

Why This Site Exists

Buying proxies is harder than it should be. Prices are quoted per GB, per IP, per port or per request, and plans change often. Pool sizes are big round numbers that are hard to check. Many “best proxy” lists are written to earn a fee, not to help you choose.

My goal is simple: give you a clear, honest answer so you can buy the right proxies once, at a fair price, and use them legally.

I judge this site by one thing. Did the page help you make a better choice? If a page doesn’t do that, I fix it or remove it.

What I Cover

Start with my main guide to the best proxy providers. From there, the site splits into three hubs:

  • Types of proxies. Residential, ISP, mobile, datacenter, rotating and SOCKS5 proxies, what each one is for, and which providers I’d look at first.
  • Proxies for web scraping. Use cases like SEO and rank tracking, price monitoring, ad checks and social media, plus scraping APIs and antidetect browsers.
  • Proxy pricing. How proxy pricing works, cheap options, free trials and how to avoid paying for traffic you never use.

You’ll also find head to head comparisons, alternatives pages, reviews of providers like Decodo, IPRoyal and Webshare, and how-to guides such as how to choose a proxy provider. You can browse everything in the Proxies category or on my author page.

How I Research

Every guide is built from sources you can check yourself:

  • Each provider’s own pricing pages, plan limits and documentation.
  • Independent benchmarks and reviews, such as those published by Proxyway.
  • Terms of service, acceptable use rules and how each provider sources its IPs.
  • Reputable news, for example when a provider is shut down or changes its products.

When a number comes from a vendor, I say so. When something is my opinion, I say that too. The full process is in my Editorial Policy.

How StackHyre Makes Money

I want you to know exactly where the money comes from.

  • Affiliate links. Some links to providers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide rankings. Details are in the Affiliate Disclosure.
  • Sponsored posts. Brands can pay to publish a post on the site. Every paid post is clearly labeled as sponsored, and paid links carry rel="sponsored". Sponsored posts never change my own rankings or reviews. See the Advertise page for how this works.

Use Proxies the Right Way

Proxies are normal tools for testing, research, price checks and privacy. But you are responsible for how you use them. Follow each website’s terms, respect privacy and data protection laws, and don’t use proxies for fraud or abuse. I won’t recommend providers that I believe source IPs in shady ways.
